I know, I know. It's usually radicals, liberals, and people on the far left of the political spectrum, who are the revolutionaries, right?

Not in America, my friend. Today in the United States of America, the culture and the government are dominated by socialists, anti-Christians, and other leftists. From big, interfering, federal government programs to the undermining of the Judeo-Christian heritage that our country was founded on, the leftist thought that has overwhelmed our country is rapidly driving America from its rightful place as the great light to the rest of the world. The free market economy that made this country the envy of the world has been litigated and regulated into near stagnation. Any expression of the faith and religious heritage that our Founding Fathers held so dear has been relegated to near-criminality. Any ideas that differ from the left-approved, politically correct lexicon are defined as unenlightened hate speech.

It is this oppressive blanket of socialist, leftist dogma that demands right-thinking, right-leaning Americans to rise up and free ourselves. We must free ourselves from the intrusiveness of big, federal government. We must free ourselves from a tax code that punishes anyone who dares to work hard and make a better life for themselves. We must free ourselves from the elitist ruling class, who under the guise of "campaign finance reform" has passed laws to protect itself from any challengers. We must free ourselves from an unrepresentative, two-party political system that has been restructured over time to eliminate any chance for third party involvement in the political process.

But the revolution is about more than just rising against the oppression of the current government. The revolution is about making fundamental changes in the system, to bring the power of self-governance back to the citizenry.

We must eliminate federal interference in education, and bring control of public schools back to the local and state level. We must eliminate federal welfare and other socialist programs, while leaving the door open for the states to take those responsibilities on themselves if they so choose. We must make the maintenance of roads the responsibilities of local municipalities and states. We must make disaster response the sole responsibility of the local and state governments involved, in order to eliminate bureaucratic interference. We must make disaster recovery the responsibility of the businesses and private citizens who are affected. We must eliminate Federal subsidies to businesses and farms, forcing those industries affected to make themselves compete in the free global market. We must change the Federal tax code to fairly tax all citizens a set percentage, not just the wealthy. We must then require the Federal government to be accountable for how it spends the taxes it collects.

According the Constitution of the United States, the Federal government has three jobs: regulate trade, defend the rights of the citizenry as enumerated in the text of the Constitution, and defend the union from outside threats. It is the primary goal of the conservative revolution to reestablish those boundaries to the power of the Federal government.

This is what I believe. This is the starting point for any discussion I have about politics or culture. This is what defines me as a Conservative Revolutionary.
